Obituary for RICHARDSON

Thomas J. Richardson, age 71, died Friday, January 6, 2006 at his home in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife of 47 and a half years, Helen Richardson of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Angela L. Richardson of Durango, CO; son, Gregory T. Richardson and wife, Dana L. of Albuquerque, NM; five grandchildren, Angela, Nicole, and Kayla Kerekes and Ryan and Evan Richardson; his cousin who was like a sister, Teresita Trujillo; and numerous other cousins. He served with the New Mexico State Police from 1959 until 1974. Mr. Richardson was the Sheriff of Bernalillo County from 1975 through 1976. Until his retirement in 1985 he was the Chief of Fire and Rescue for Bernalillo County. After their retirement, he and his wife fulfilled their dream building a cabin in The Brazos in northern New Mexico, where they spent the next ten years. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks #461. A Memorial Rosary will be held Monday, January 9, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Wyoming Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
