Bertha Marie Allen, 89, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006. She was a resident of Albuquerque since 1950. Our beloved Tootie is survived by her daughters, Susan Walsh and Sandra Benn; grandchildren, Heather Tourkin and Philip Benn; great-grandchildren, Claire and Ben Tourkin; and other wonderful family members and friends. Our mother's warmth and giving nature allowed her to enjoy life to its fullest and give joy to those who knew her. Marie was a long time member of the 1st Presbyterian Church, the Albuquerque Country Club, and the Albuquerque Exchange Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fritz Allen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Albuquerque Exchange Club for their Youth Projects which Marie loved, PO Box 35664, Albuquerque, NM 87176. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, January 8, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the 1st Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust Ave. NE.
