James B. "Jim" Hiser, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1941, died Saturday, December 31, 2005. He is survived by his son, Thomas J. Hiser of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Tricia Hiser and fiance, Peter Scheideman of Albuquerque and Lisa Genrich and husband, Brian of Watertown, WI; sister, Claudia Clever of Belleville, OH; brother, Arthur C. Ruhl of Mansfield, OH; and nieces, nephews and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Ada Hiser and his beloved wife, Virginia in December, 1998. He was born in Pique, OH on January 16, 1918. Jim served in the Air Force during WWII. He worked at Sandia National Laboratories as a security guard, retiring in 1976. Jim loved to travel. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and brother and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Friday, January 6, 2006 from 10:30 am to 11:00 a.m. Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with burial taking place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 4301 Bryn Mawr Dr., NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
