Obituary for HERNANDEZ

Jennie F. Hernandez, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1970, died Thursday, December 29, 2005. She is survived by her children: Dennis Hernandez of Albuquerque, Ray Hernandez and wife, Daisy, of Albuquerque, Dolores Hance of Albuquerque, Gregory Hernandez of Quicksburg, VA, Francis J. Hernandez of Albuquerque, and Phil D. Hernandez of Bellingham, WA; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Brezi and Frances Novotny, both of New York City; and numerous beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Jennie was preceded in death by her husband, Dionisio Hernandez, a fourth degree Knight of Columbus and member of the Color Guard, in 1970; four grandchildren; two brothers, John and Louis Lumenick; and one sister, Anna Rizzo. She was born on September 2, 1913 in Philadelphia, PA, to John and Frances Krupiak Lumenick. Jennie was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and a longtime member of the Legion of Mary. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Rosary will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2006, 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Father Francis X. Eggert, officiating. Interment will be at St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, Tribute Memorial Dept., 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
