Leland Ray Alhorn, 73, passed into Heaven on Tuesday, January 3, 2006 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born Thursday, July 7, 1932 in Jacksonville, IL to Henry and Kathryn Littig Alhorn. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deloris Niedens Alhorn; daughters, Paula Johnson and Cynthia Kincheloe and husband, John; son, Dean Alhorn and wife, Tina; his beloved grandchildren, Ryan and Kelsey Johnson, Deanna and Kathryn Kincheloe and DJ, Christopher and Timothy Alhorn; sister, Laverne Mealiff and husband, Don; sisters-in-law, Carlene and Virginia Alhorn; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Velma; and brothers, Albert, Wilbur, Melvin and Glenn. Leland served his country during the Korean Conflict and was employed by various defense contractors in Albuquerque, NM. He was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church. Leland is best remembered for his devotion to his faith, family and country. Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2006, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 7550 Eubank NE. Services will be held Friday, January 6, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at the Church. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
