Benito Alejandro Salas, 22, of Edgewood, NM, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2005. Benito was born July 11, 1983 in Landstuhl, Germany to Benito and Sandra (Gauldin) Salas. Benito was a 2001 graduate from Moriarty High School. He is survived by his parents, Benny, and Sandra Salas of Edgewood, NM; a sister, Jessica Leonor Evelyn Salas of Edgewood, NM; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jess and Bessie Gauldin; and Alejandro and Leonor Salas. All that knew and loved Benito will miss him. There will be a Rosary on Monday, January 2, 2006, and Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at 7:00 p.m., at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 10:00 a.m, at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Moriarty, NM. Father William Young will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Rudy Martinez, Bernie Rivera, Eliseo Padilla, Tony Salas, Albert Sisneros, and Patrick Padilla. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Padilla, and Jessica Salas.
