Obituary for SANDOVAL

John H. Sandoval, 87, a life-long resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord on December 22, 2005. He was born on June 15, 1918 and was an Albuquerque High School graduate. Johnny was a WWII Veteran and served in the Army from 1942 to 1946. After returning from the war he worked as a carpet installer until he retired in 1998. John is survived by his wife, Wilma Sandoval; son, Jerry D. Killan and wife, Joyce; daughters, Carrie Dickens, Barbara Frickle and husband, Leroy, and Sandy Garcia; brother, Raymond Sandoval and wife, Agnes; sisters, Vera Gutierrez, Vina Sesma, and Lenora Roman and husband, Fran; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitations will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Msgr. Antonio Gonzales and Deacon Fran Roman on Friday, January 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Benedict Roman, John Perine, Paul Smith, Tim Smith, Glenn Elhard, and Monte Vandale. Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy Frickle and Dave Barton.
