James R Guy, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died suddenly Wednesday, December 21, 2005. Mr. Guy is survived by his wife, Gail; his two children, Laura Ann Avery and Tim Lawrence Guy; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Guy was born in Jackson, AL. Chief Petty Officer Guy retired from the Navy after serving 28 years during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. During his career, he was on an around the world cruise on the USS Tarawa in 1947. He taught at the nuclear weapons school at Kirtland for 15 years. Mr. Guy was an active member of the Masons AM&FM. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 27, 2005, 11:30 a.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery with full military honors.
