Florinda M. Hernandez was born in San Pedro, NM on April 15, 1918 to Sinforiana Gutierrez and Jose Anastacio Mora, both deceased. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Hernandez; her infant son, Augustin; and her brothers, Leo and Manuel Mora, and Juan, Frank, and Andrew Harvey. She is survived by her sister, Erlinda Padilla and husband, Sigfredo. She is also survived by her children, Ted Hernandez and wife, Sandra, Rosemary Armijo and husband, Elfino, Jose Antonio "Tony" Hernandez, Dolores Hernandez, Gloria Minchow and husband, Bruce; granddaughter, Linda Hernandez, who devoted everyday to caring for her. She is also survived by her other grandchildren, Helen, Hope, Angela, Soyla, Josie, Connie, Steven, Susan, JoAnn, Priscilla, Pete, Carla, Camille, Amanda, Stephanie and Michelle; 27 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; various nieces and nephews; and a family friend, Debbie Salas. She served many years at the San Jose Church in Cerrillos as mayordomos along with Pedro. She worked at various times and places to help support her family. Pallbearers will be Pete Hernandez, Steven Armijo, Dominque, Matthew and Ruben Gabaldon, and Mitch Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Elfino Armijo, Bruce Minchow, Larry Mora, and Arthur Padilla. A Viewing will be held on Monday, December 26, 2005 at Salazar & Sons Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. following the Viewing. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 412 Stover Ave. SW, where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements by: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW 247-4124
