Wayne William Alley, 78 years old, a native of Albuquerque, passed away December 21, 2005, after a long illness. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Alley, son; Pete Alley and wife, Elizabeth of Tijeras, NM, daughters; Linda and husband, Jim Sutton of Spring, TX, Sharon and husband, Ed Tannehill of Northfork, CA, Tamara and husband, Rick Hagreen of Kent, WA, Laura Alley of Los Lunas, NM, and Crystal Alley of the family home; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Mr. Alley was preceded in death by his parents, H.E. and Anna Alley; and brothers, Orval, Ed, and Dale Alley. Mr. Alley was a graduate of Albuquerque High School, and a Navy veteran, serving in WWII. He retired from Kirtland Air Force Base before his illness. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and wood worker. His passion was car racing. He was a Midget race car driver in the 40s.
