Obituary for LEONARD

Jason Fred Leonard passed away December 14, 2005, in his Albuquerque home due to severe asthmatic conditions. Jason was born December 10, 1973, in La Mirada, CA to Philip and Jacquelyn Leonard. He was raised in Santa Maria where he attended high school and furthered his education at UVSC in Provo, UT, and completed his education for a private pilot's license during that time. Jason served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Tucson, Arizona Mission. He married Marla Rogers of Alamogordo, NM in June 1995 for Time and Eternity in the San Diego Temple. Jason and Marla had three children; Creed Michael Leonard age, 3 1/2, Sway Victoria Leonard, age 2, and Cross R. Leonard six months of age. Jason was a dedicated family man, and his family was his life. They will always love him and mourn his passing. He was President in charge of Verizon Communications at Alert Cellular for the past several years, and his position took them to several states making their home in Utah, Washington, Texas, and New Mexico. Survivors include his wife and children of the family home; his parents of Santa Maria, CA, his sisters, Jill Smith and husband, David of Missouri; Julianne Leonard of Santa Maria, CA; James Leonard of Santa Maria, CA; fathers- and mothers-in-law, Michael and Vicki Rogers of Alamogordo, NM; Jenny Moody and husband, Bret of Las Cruces, NM; Matt Rogers of Albuquerque, NM; Katie Duncan and husband, Michael of Great Falls, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews and close family and friends. Service will take place on Monday, December 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kachina Ward, 6009 Kachina Rd. NW. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary-Westside Chapel on Sunday, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd.
