John Michael Harris, 56, of Albuquerque passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2005, while surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born in Albuquerque, on October 12, 1949 to Kay Young and the late John H. Harris. Michael was preceded in death by his father John H. Harris and his brother James Patrick Harris. His surviving family members include: wife, Patricia Nolan-Harris; son, John Michael Hoffman and wife, Robin Webb, mother, Kay Young of Amarillo, TX. two brothers, Tim Young and wife Lisa, Amarillo, TX, and Terry Young and wife BJ of Amarillo, sister, Linda Austin of Amarillo, TX. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. All who knew Michael were blessed by his caring and gregarious personality. Michael served in the USMC as a Staff Sgt. and was a Vietnam veteran. He had many life adventures in business ownership and careers, including being a gemologist in his own jewelry store and a yacht captain traveling throughout the Caribbean. Michael lived life with amazing enthusiasm, that will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna Rd. NE, Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations made be made in his honor to NM Cancer Center Foundation, 4901 Lang Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
