Obituary for BLAND

Terry M. Bland, age 55, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, went home to be with his Lord, Monday, December 5, 2005. Preceded in death by his mother, Melba Frances Bland, Terry is survived by his father, A.M. "Kennie" Bland of Albuquerque; brother, Gary Bland of Englewood, CO; sisters, Sherill Hoefer and husband, John of Craig, CO, Gloria Ortega of Albuquerque and Donna Stevens of Denver, CO; special friends, Art Hickerson and Richard Montgomery of Albuquerque; in addition to many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Terry loved his family, loved bicycling, camping, fishing and was an avid sports fan. He was Captain of the Basketball team at Valley High School when they won the State Championships in the late 1960s. Upon leaving college, Terry served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the early 1970s. He was a long-haul truck driver for many years and had been to all 48 Continental United States until he retired. Terry had a heart of gold. He will be missed by all, until we see him again in heaven.
