Barbara Jean Buck (Dixon / Edwards). Barbara Jean died peacefully December 6, 2005. Born April 15, 1931 in Denver CO, she was the youngest daughter of Lydia and Al Buck. The Bucks were well known locally here where Barbara grew up. As a lifelong diabetic, she was an inspiration to family and friends. In her last years she faced serious health issues and was amazingly brave. Her inner strength confounded all who knew her. The family is grateful to Maureen Thomson, her care giver and devoted friend. Survivors are: her sister, Annetta Andrews of Washington; her sons, Buck and wife, Fara of Arizona, Kevin and wife, Tatiana of Florida, Cameron Dixon of Florida, and stepson, Kip Edwards and wife, Sally of California; nephews, Mike, Bob and Doug (deceased) Dechenne; granddaughters, Daniela Wilson and husband, Danny of Rio Rancho, Cassie and Nicole Dixon of Wisconsin, and Marina Dixon of Florida; great-granddaughters, Laura and Bailey Wilson of Rio Rancho; and other extended family. Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Barbara's life at First Methodist Church Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. 314 Lead Ave. In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to charities of your choice.
