Obituary for BLEACHER

Jean P. Bleacher, 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1977, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, David Bleacher; two children, Michael Bleacher and wife, Carol Ann of Centennial, CO and Mary Streif of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Nicholas Streif, Brandon Gully and wife, Murriel, Jonathan Gully, and Pablo Bleacher; brother, John Allan Parker and wife, Dee of Kodiak, AK; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Allan and Helen Parker and one sister, Helen Deminie. She was born in Chelsea, MA and served as a nurse in the United States Air Force. Jean was active in her church teaching Sunday School and in the John XXIII Rosary Society. She retired from St. Francis Gardens where she was the charge nurse of C-Wing. Jean enjoyed serving regularly at the Brothers of the Good Shepherd Homeless Ministry. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother and will be remembered for her unique sense of humor. A Rosary will be recited Friday, December 2, 2005, 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 3, 2005, 9:00 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road NE with Father Tom Zotter, Celebrant. Interment will take place Monday, December 5, 2005, 9:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM.
