Obituary for MOORE

Charles Moore Jr., 85, passed away Thursday November 24, 2005. He was born April 6, 1920, to Charles and Ethel Fergerson Moore Sr. in Las Vegas, N.M. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Montelle Moore; two daughters, Vicki Steele, and husband, Jim of Texas and Jacque Eckstrom of Colorado; brother, Robert E. Moore, and wife, Chris of California; four grandchildren; and will be greatly missed by many friends. Charles was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was a master woodworker who could build anything from fine cherry furniture to a cabin cruiser and even made a small mahogany hydroplane. He also handcrafted hundreds of golf clubs and restored Mustangs. He had a love for golf and the NFL. He was a air traffic controller and instructor for almost 30 years. A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options West, 2400 Southern Blvd. in Rio Rancho.
