Frankie. Friends of Frankie McCarty-Gallegos are invited to attend a Memorial get-together for Frankie at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2005 at her beloved Albuquerque Press Club. We will share remembrances of Frankie, and celebrate her contributions to the journalism profession in New Mexico. An award-winning Albuquerque Journal reporter and editor who died in October, Frankie was a charter member and past President of APC and a major contributor to the preservation of its historic home - Whittlesey House, located at 201 Highland Park Circle SE. Following the memorial celebration, refreshments will be provided by APC, and the bar will be open to Club members and their guests. Frankie's family requests that anyone wishing to make a contribution to her memory do so via a donation to the Albuquerque Press Club, 201 Highland Park Circle SE, Albuquerque 87102.
