Obituary for ARMSTRONG

Gertrude Christensen Armstrong passed away November 14, 2005 in Grants, NM. She was born June 20, 1913 in Richfield, UT to William Delbert Christensen and Josephine Peterson Christensen. She graduated from Snow College in Utah with a teaching degree. She married Morrin Evan Armstrong on December 21, 1936 in Utah. They moved to Albuquerque in March 1948. She taught kindergarten in Albuquerque and later opened Country Kindergarten in the South Valley. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will forever be loved and missed by all. She is survived by her daughter, Merrylin Fulks of Albuquerque; her sons, Evan W. Armstrong of Albuquerque and Ronald A. Armstrong of Milan; two sisters, Dessa Paulson, Kathryn Harris; and one brother, Vegh Christensen, all of Utah; her grandchildren, Ralph Fulks III, Leah Lin Musso, and J. Jekoa Fulks and wife, Histina, Lance Morrin Armstrong and wife, Abigail, Paul Pleadwell, and Scotty Pleadwell; her great-grandchildren, Maggie Raquel Fry, Joshua and Rebekka Armstrong. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Morrin Evan Armstrong; and daughter, Louise Armstrong. A viewing will be held Friday, November 18, 2005 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Strong-Thorne Mortuary. Graveside Services and burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
