Obituary for GREENSLADE

Alba Greenslade, age 77, an Albuquerque resident and a 25 year resident of Grants, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2005. A registered nurse, Alba was born in Detroit, MI. She graduated from Wayne State University in 1950 where she was a member of the first bachelors degree class in the school of nursing. Alba contributed greatly by working in various nursing positions in Idaho, Utah, and New Mexico. Alba is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, James, and two daughters; Gale Moore and her husband, Larry of Denver, and Gwynneth Colvin and her husband, Donny of Hobbs; sister, Vera Nowak of Detroit and her grandsons, Matt Moore and Chris, Cody, and Shiloh Colvin. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 12, at French Mortuary Westside Chapel, at 3:00 p.m. with a reception to follow.
