Donald Eugene Peckham, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died Sunday, November 6, 2005. He is survived by his brothers: Walter R. Peckham and wife, Darlene of Albuquerque, Vernon D. Peckham and wife, Patricia of Colorado Springs, CO, and Dean A. Peckham and wife, Julie of Glendale, AZ; sister, Betty Lou Brannon of Harrison, OH; and several loving nephews and nieces. Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelynn Dodson Peckham on September 11, 1990. He was born in Willis, KS on November 28, 1922 to Rolland Claude and Winona Maude (Lewis) Peckham. Don proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1943 to 1946. Don married Evelynn Darlene Dodson on December 20, 1949. He received his B.A. cum laude in Accounting from Eastern New Mexico University in 1953, and his M.B.A. from the University of Arizona in 1954. Don worked for Illinois Power Co., in Decatur, IL as an accountant from 1954 to 1957 and then Public Service Co. of New Mexico from 1957. While at PNM he served as secretary and assistant treasurer. Don also served as secretary for Paragon Resources, Inc., Sunbelt Mining Co., Inc., and Meadows Resources, Inc. He was a member of the Elks Club. Cremation has taken place and burial of his cremated remains will take place on Thursday, November 10, 2005, 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
