Julian Nelson Martinez was born November 24, 1965. He passed away Thursday, November 3, 2005. A happy-go-lucky son, brother, and friend, he will be greatly missed, but kept deeply in our hearts forever. Julian graduated from Cibola High School in 1982. He went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force, from 1982 to 1989, having received an Honorable Discharge. Julian then attended College at the University of Maryland and the University of Houston, receiving degrees in Administration and Computer Science. Julian had many hobbies, such as going to movies with his grandmother and spending time with his family. However, he took great delight in telling jokes and displaying his fantastic sense of humor to anyone who would listen. He thoroughly enjoyed being the center of attention! He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Apolinario and Margarita Montano and Eppie Martinez. Julian is survived by his parents, Morris and Mary Martinez; grandmother, Lena Martinez; brother, Edwin Martinez and wife, Victoria; sister, Debbie Gutierrez and husband, Orlando; special aunt, Mary Jane Thibodeau; two godchildren, Manuel Delgado and Isaiah Edwin Martinez; special cousin, Veronica Ford; eight nieces and nephews; special uncle Benny; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 4th and Mildred NW, with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2005. Pallbearers will be Estevan Apodaca, Ernest Delgado, Don Montano, Lawrence Montano, Norman Montano, and Anthony Montano. Honorary pallbearers will be Veronica Montano, Valerie Thibodeau, Ronald Rodriguez, Jasent Montano, Adrian Alvarez and Ramon Perez. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
