Obituary for GALLOWAY

John C. Galloway, Lt. Col. (Ret), USAF, born on April 29, 1937, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2005. Born and raised in Massachusetts by his parents, John and Audrey (nee Clark) Galloway, John graduated from Tufts University. John entered the USAF in June, 1957 and served for 23 years, completing tours in Korea and Vietnam as well as a 4 year stint in the United Kingdom with his family. While serving in the Air Force, he earned both his masters degree and his PhD from the University of Illinois. After retiring from the military in 1981, John began his second career in Albuquerque, working as a structural engineer for Applied Research Associates, Inc until his death. John is survived by his dear wife, Peg Galloway of Albuquerque; his three beloved daughters, Kathleen Galloway of Albuquerque, Meg Galloway and JannaLyn Allen and his treasured son-in-law, Corby Allen, all of Houston, TX; and a number of dearly beloved friends and colleagues. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2005 at St. Stephens United Methodist Church, 4601 Juan Tabo NE, with the Rev. Jeff Lust and Rev. Russell Lee, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Hospital Foundation, 504 Elm Street NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
