EDWARD A. Memorial service to celebrate the life of Edward Alan Laubert, 84, Albuquerque, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, 1801 Montano Rd. NW. Ed Passed away in his home on October 10, 2005. He was born to Paul and Grace Laubert on August 11, 1921 in Akron, OH. He attended schools in Akron. After high school, he joined the Air Force and was trained as a pilot. He married his high school sweetheart, Alice M. Townsend, in Greensborough, NC, on May 15, 1943. Ed, Alice, and 3 boys moved to Albuquerque in 1949. They were blessed with their 4th son in August of 1950. After holding several jobs at one time Ed went to work for Allstate Insurance Company in 1953. He worked as a successful insurance agent until his retirement in 1985. During his career he received many awards and honors, and became the owner/operator of the Blue Spruce Mobile Home Park, located in the North Valley of Albuquerque. A devoted family man, he attended and participated in the active lives of 4 boys in their activities and pursuits. His extended family included the friends and families of the neighborhood, and the classmates of his children. For over 40 years he served as a volunteer and financial supporter of All Faiths' Receiving Home of Albuquerque. After retirement Ed and Alice enjoyed traveling the world over. They continued serving their community and family. Ed's greatest joy was in helping and advising others, and making a difference in this world. His life serves as a model of love, generosity, and integrity for those whose lives he touched. Survivors include his wife, Alice of the home; his brother, Richard Laubert, Phoenix, OR; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jon Laubert, of the home, Tom and Linda Laubert of Lawton, OK, Gary and Toni Laubert, of Farmington, NM; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his great uncle and aunt, Martin and Sophia Laubert; his parents; a son, Martin P. Laubert; four brothers; and one sister. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be given to All Faiths' Receiving Home, 1709 Moon St. NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87110
