Obituary for ROSSI

Genevieve Rossi, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, loving Wife, Mother, and Friend, well known for her paintings, crafts, and charitable work, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, October 20, 2005 following an extended battle with illness, which she accepted with dignity and grace. Gen is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph L. Rossi and their children: son, Jerry and his wife, Bobbi, Rossi of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Judy and her husband, Charles Pascetti of Albuquerque; son, David and his wife, Darla Rossi of Albuquerque; and son, Donald Rossi of Raleigh, NC. Genevieve is also survived by her grandchildren: Alysa, Brian, Romni, Renee, Jeremy, Melinda, Morgan, Devon; and great-granddaughter, Mia. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Joey in 1997. Genevieve was a member of Sangre de Cristo Community and was an active volunteer of St. Joseph's auxiliary, past president of Casa Angelica, former member of La Sertoma and Elks Club, 461. She was previously active in social organizations; such as, Casa Angelica and Tanoan Bridge Clubs. Cremation has taken place. The Rosary and Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at Gate of Heaven Chapel on Wyoming and Paseo Del Norte.
