Obituary for HARMON

Muriel "Mimi" Bolles Harmon, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother ascended to her Lord and Savior Sunday, September 11, 2005. She was born in the Missouri Ozarks on May 3, 1922, came to Albuquerque in 1937, and graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1941. Mimi was a member of the Albuquerque Little Theater as well as a model. She then joined the Navy WAVES in May 1943 where she served until May 1946. Mimi remained active with the WAVES as a member and social chair of the local Roadrunner Unit of Albuquerque. She also was a member of the American Legion, Post 13. Mimi retired from the state of New Mexico - Child Support Enforcement Division, where she worked for over 15 years. She was able to get a city park named after her father, Laurens C. Bolles in the Northeast Heights. She is survived by her son, Roger Scussel; twin daughters, Lucienne Brewer and Suzanne Dionne, all of New Braunfels, TX; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Alan Bolles of Apache Junction, AZ; and one niece and three nephews. Memorial Services will be held at Veterans Memorial Park on Louisiana Blvd. in Albuquerque on Monday, October 24, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial contributions in loving memory of Muriel Harmon to the Salvation Army to help the hurricane survivors.
