Obituary for LUCERO

Sigfredo T. Lucero, age 81, died Monday, October 17, 2005 at a local nursing home. He is survived by his children, Pearl Lucero of Los Angeles, CA, David Lucero of Austin, TX, and Yolanda Lucero of Hood River, OR; and their mother, Carmelita Lucero of Los Angeles, CA. He is also survived by five sisters, Gloria Fajardo, Nena Maduena, Josie Mar, Linda Buckley, and Barbara Lucero; all of Stockton, CA; a brother; Tony Lucero of Placitas, NM. Mr. Lucero also has three granddaughters, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews that meant a great deal to him. Sigfredo was preceded in death by Juan A. and Josephita T. Lucero; brother, John Lucero; and sisters, Carmen, Cano and Elsie Clark. He was loved by his many cousins and friends. Mr. Lucero enjoyed horseback riding, cooking, dancing and Mariachi music. He has a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and the in South Pacific Theater. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Life Celebration Service will be held at the San Antonio de las Huertas Land Grant Chapel and Cemetery located on Camino Buena Vistas in Placitas, NM, at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2005.
