Lloyd, 78, of Albuquerque died on October 6, 2005 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Albuquerque. Lloyd was born on July 18, 1927 in Ashland, Alabama to John Kelton and Mary Harper. He moved to the East Mountain area shortly there after and has lived here all his life. Lloyd was a member of the Old time Fiddlers Association. Raised horses and was a hunter. He started his career as a driver between Los Alamos and Albuquerque, and then settled in as a Heavy Equipment Operator in construction with Sandia Labs, where he worked for 32 years before retiring in 1978. He was a Member of International Association Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Lloyd is survived by his niece, Debbie Snow of Moriarty; many other nieces and nephews; his first wife, Geraldine Nunley who died in the 1970s; his second wife, Anis Doty who died in 2000, precede him in death. Also preceding him were sister-in-laws, Pauline and Marion Kelton; his brothers,Tom and John Kelton Jr. and his sisters, Mozell Poague, Estelle Stateman, and Annalee Harvey Nieces, Barbara Kelton, Kathryn Brannon, and Shirley Stateman Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday October 9, 2005 at Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday October 10, 2005 at Mountain Valley Cemetery (Barton Cemetery) in Edgewood.
