Esther M. Chavez went home to be with the Lord and departed loved ones on October 3, 2005 at the age of 50. She was born on October 24, 1954 in Albuquerque, NM. Esther is survived by her sons, Gary Chavez and wife, Diane and Ken Chavez; brothers, Santiago Baros, Climaco Baros, Pete Baros, and Augustine Baros; sister, Bernice Smith; grandchildren, Angelique, Johnathan, and Alexandra Chavez; and many other family members. She will be deeply missed by all. A Memorial Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary.
