MARIA U. Mrs. Maria U. Gomez, 84, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on October 2, 2005. Mrs. Gomez is survived by her children, Lorraine Collins and husband, Thomas, Mary Crespin and husband, Jessie, Silverio Gomez and wife, Emily, Dolores Gomez, Annette Garcia and husband, Andre, Pete Gomez and wife, Paula and Socorro Armstead and husband, Otis; three sisters, Toni Vigil, Emma Romero, and Lupe Uncangco and husband, Jose; 23 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Mrs. Gomez was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro R. Gomez and three grandchildren, Robert Sosa, Daniel J. Gomez and Desiree M. Garcia. Mrs. Gomez was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Nestor Garcia, with a Prayer Service to follow by Pastor Charles Mitchell. Final visitation will be Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at the Gabaldon Chapel with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:00 a.m. at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona S.W. by Father Bill Sanchez. Interment will follow Mass at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Armstead, Isaiah Williams, Richard Castillo, Jeremiah Gomez, Silverio Gomez III and Manuel Rodriguez.
