Alfred James, 48. Isleta/San Felipe. Passed away September 24, 2005. Heart attack. His funeral was held September 25, 2005 at St. Augustine Church in Isleta Pueblo. Alfred is survived by his mother, Rosalind Montoya-Cata; paternal grandparents, Marcelina and Nick Abeyta; two brothers, Francis and Lawrence; four sisters, Regina, Ramona, Roxanne, and Theresa; many aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces; and a large extended family including his dear friend, Nancy Collins. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose F. "Kinnie" Montoya. Alfred graduated from Valley High School Class of 1974 and UNM with a degree in civil engineering. His many projects include the pedestrian bridges on Juan Tabo. Alfred was an avid hunter. He was strong in faith. May eternal light shine upon Alfred. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Archdiocese of Santa Fe in support of Pueblo clergy.
