John D. Smith, age 84, beloved father and grandfather, was called home by our heavenly Father to join Him and his beloved wife, Margaret, Saturday, September 24, 2005. John was a resident of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of New Britain, CT. He enjoyed down hill skiing; and he loved New Mexico and the people. He was a kind and interesting man; he will be remembered by many for his brilliant smile. John was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Enid Smith on August 13, 2005. He is survived by his loving son, Dennis S. Smith and wife, Sylvia of Albuquerque, NM; and two precious grandchildren, Alexander and Nicole Smith, also of Albuquerque; and a host of friends he met in short time at the Spring Park Apartments. John will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday (today) at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary in Albuquerque.
