Obituary for VALE

Thelma Mae (Seabourn) Vale, age 73, a resident of Albuquerque since 1969, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 22, 2005. She was born in Grove, OK and attended Haskell Indian College in Lawrence, KS where she met her husband, John. She worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and Indian Public Health Service in Phoenix, AZ for a number of years. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed church, art, cooking and traveling. She pursued her love for painting by attending many art classes and winning many awards. She was very proud of the artwork she sold. She often volunteered her time to help others and had many devoted friends that loved her dearly. Thelma was also a member of Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque. She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Brenda Peters and husband, Michael of Tucson, AZ; Beverly Berch and husband, Gordon of Keller, TX; David Vale and wife, Lisa of Kennesaw, GA, and seven grandchildren. Mrs. Vale is also survived by five sisters, one brother and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joe and grandchild, Rachel. Services will be held Sunday, September 25, 2005, 4:30 p.m. at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Private interment will take place on Monday. Friends may visit at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel on Saturday, September 24, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association - NM Affiliate, PO Box 90790, Albuquerque, NM 87199-0790.
