Ben H. Allen, age 83, beloved husband father, grandfather, and brother, was gently and lovingly wrapped in the arms of the Lord and taken to his Eternal home, Tuesday, September 20, 2005. Ben was born in Tifton, GA, and was a resident of Albuquerque. He was a member of the Northdale Baptist Church in Albuquerque; and a member of the American Legion Pipefitter, Local #72 in Atlanta, GA. Ben was a proud Veteran, who served his country during World War II. Ben is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Margaret A. Allen of the family home; his son, W.M. (Bill) Hartley and wife, Diana of Rio Rancho; his grandchildren, William M. Hartley and wife, Melissa, Stacey Perez; great-grandchildren, William Hartley, III, Samantha Hartley, and Marshall Perez. Also surviving are a brother, Hugh Allen and wife, Juanita of Albany, GA; nephew, Steve Allen and wife, Joy; and other beloved family members and friends. Ben will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. A Memorial Service will be conducted Tuesday , September 27, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Northdale Baptist Church.
