Paula Blackshere, 92, lifelong resident of Golden, New Mexico, died Sunday, September 11, 2005. She is survived by three sisters, Mary Jo Pino of Cienega, Clara Mae Baca of Albuquerque, and Julia Gurule of Albuquerque; two God-daughters, Marie Trigg Keller and Jeannie Lujan; and Sammy Padilla, whom she was raised with and considered him as a brother; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Clara Davis; and her aunt and uncle who raised her, Felicita and Sam Padilla; and by two brothers and four sisters. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 15, at 2:00 p.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper NW. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel on Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
