Obituary for CORDOVA

SAMUEL G. Mr. Samuel G. Cordova, 84, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 10, 2005. Mr. Cordova is the beloved husband to Mrs. Helen Cordova, married for 36 years. Mr. Cordova is also survived by three daughters, Sherry Robinet and husband, Bud Coloroso, Patricia Cassady and husband, Harry, Dianne Cordova and husband, Manuel Duran; two step daughters, Kathy Fry and husband, Kent and Mary Ann Castellano; one son, Tom Montoya and wife, Julie; one sister, Marcella Anaya; one brother, Vincent Cordova and wife, Della; his beloved pet, Buffy; 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Cordova was preceded in death by his parents, Atilano and Donnica Cordova; two sisters, Carmen Lucero and Theresa Mora; two step sons, Laurence Montoya and Anthony Montoya. Mr. Cordova was a member of the Catholic Churh, a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving in World War I I, Albuquerque Fire Department and Captain of the Bernalillo County Sheriff Dept. for over 30 years. He was loved dearly and will be missed greatly. A visitation for Mr. Cordova will be Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1800 Martha N.E. with a Communion Service to be held at 10:30 a.m. by Deacon Byron Wicker. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with Military Honors by Vince Cordova and the D.A.V. Post 69.
