Obituary for GROVER

Ellen Warner Grover passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Keith W. Grover; by her son, Keith W. Grover, Jr.; and by a brother, Tom. She is the beloved mother of her daughter, Penny Sproat and sons, Jon and Tom. She has many grand and great-grandchildren who will miss her. Ellen was born and spent her early years in Ogden, UT. The family moved to Ely, NV where she graduated from high school then attended BYU. She met Keith in Salt Lake City. After their marriage, they established their home in Ely, NV where all of their children were born. In the early 50s she and Keith moved the family to Silver Spring, MD where all of the children graduated from high school. Ellen was a homemaker who particularly enjoyed gardening and baking. She was active in her church and assisted many in need. In 1970 she and Keith returned West, settling in Albuquerque, NM where they resided on Katson Ave. Ellen was a volunteer at the UNM Hospital gift shop for many years. She enjoyed playing cards and was an accomplished bridge player. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2005, 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 624 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE 832-9400
