Esther Thompson Clifford, was born on September 27, 1917 in Casa Blanca, NM on the Laguna Pueblo Reservation. She married Morty S. Clifford on January 8, 1942. Esther worked as surgical nurse at the Santa Fe Indian Hospital for 30 some years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morty and Esther is survived by her daughter, Carla Clifford-Hunter; grandsons, Glenn C. Hunter and Curtis H. Hunter; one great-granddaughter, Alexis J. Hunter, all of Albuquerque, NM; nieces, Ruth R. Lucero, Mildred Onsae, Grace Thompson, Dorothy Cerno, Elsie Cherisposy, Rebecca R. Van Why, Peggy Hemstreet, Leona Gala; nephews, Robert, Timothy, and Anthony Thompson; and numerous relatives in South Dakota, Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon. Burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Friday, August 26, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW. ABQ. 505-343-8008
