Obituary for GRIEGO

Cristobal V. Griego (PoPo), 79, a resident of Albuquerque, passed on August 20, 2005 with his loving family present. He was the son of Miguel and Silveria Griego and was born in Sena, NM. Cristobal served in the Navy during WWII assigned to the USS Wingfield 197 Destroyer Escort. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Priscilla Griego; sons, Andrew Griego of Edgewood, Mike Griego and wife, Carol of Cedar Crest, Val Griego and wife, Rhonda of Edgwood, Evie Griego and wife, Laura of South Carolina; his greatest joys were his ten grandchildren, Mathew, Maggie, Marc, Miranda, Nicki, and Milo, Vicki and Gavin, Oran, Monica and Sean, Hannah, and Little Cris; four great-grandchildren, Venus, Lilly, Micheal, and Mathew. Christobal was a son, husband, father, and friend to all. He was cared for by his loving family during his short battle with cancer. He will be missed dearly. Friends may visit French Mortuary on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas NE. Mass will be on Friday, August 26, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School NE. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors.
