Richard Manuel Rambes went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2005 at the age of 51. He was born on August 9, 1954 in Albuquerque, NM. Richard proudly served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a bartender and a member of the DAV, VFW and was a past Commander for the American Legion Post 13. He is survived by his wife, Rose Newman-Rambes; father, Emilio L. Rambes; mother-in-law, Evelyn Perry; his son, Richie Rambes; daughter, Shawnase Marie Rambes-Lee; stepsons, Cable Perry and Michael Perry; stepdaughter, Michelle Perry; brother, Robert J. Rambes and wife, Bernadette; sister, Pearl Maldonado; brother-in-law, Bob Clark; sisters-in-law, Ladena Clark, Katrina Cash, and Sonita Perry; grandson, Sebastian Lee; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Ramsey and Bunny. He will be deeply missed by all. Visitations will be held Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the Rosary in the Celebration of Life Room also at Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. at San Jose de Duranes Mission Church. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. The family would like for you to join them after the burial for the reception at Garcia Mortuary at 1:30 p.m. Services are in the care of: GARCIA MORTUARY 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222
