Ross M. Pierce, age 73, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vollie and Nora Mae and brothers, Alvin and Homer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Michiko; son, Ross II and wife, Jackie, Robert, Glenn and wife, Rosie; daughter, Michelle and fiance, Chris; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Milton, Glenn, Bill, Lloyd, Gene; and sister, Ellene. Born in Campwood, TX on February 9, 1932, he served in the USAF for 22 years, was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a member of the American Legion Post 49. He received his bachelor's degree from UNM in 1976. Ross enjoyed gardening and loved swimming in the Nueces River. He is dearly loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel on Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Joy Junction, 4500 2nd SW, 87105.
