Jennifer L. Ortega, 36, was called August 5th by her beloved Lord to join him in Heaven after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jennifer was employed for many years by the Bureau of Land Management as a computer specialist. Jennifer devoted many years as a volunteer for the Make a Wish Foundation and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church were she sang in the choir. She was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Ortega, and maternal grandparents Carlos and Maria Lovato. She is survived by her mother, Chris Ortega and father, Carlos Ortega Jr.; brothers, Matthew Ortega and Mitchell Ortega; paternal grandparents; Carlos and Josefita Ortega; as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and lifelong friends. Pallbearers will be Victor Ortiz, John Chavez, Lawrence Padilla, Eric Griego, Jeff Kidwell, and Cameron Theil. A Rosary will be recited at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 1860 Griegos NW. on August 7, 2005 at 8:00 p.m with Deacon Richard Chavez reciting. Mass will be celebrated August 8, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Joe Vigil celebrating along with co- Celebrant Father Michael Shea.
