Steven Jesse Cervantes, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, went home to be with our dear lord, peacefully in his sleep on July 29, 2005. He was born May 7, 1970. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry G. Ortiz; uncle, Alex Ortiz; and cousin, Gerald Ortiz. He is survived by his loving wife, Molly Cervantes; his precious children: Nicole, Tiana, Isaac, and Lisa Marie Cervantes; parents; Susan Perez and stepfather, Joe Perez and Steven Cervantes Sr.; grandparents: Rose Martinez, Betty and Joe Cervantes and Salvador Chavez; siblings: Lorenzo Maestas, Adam Aveles, and Danette, Steven, and Raymond Cervantes, and Christina Mora; aunts and uncles: Jerry Ortiz Jr. and wife, Helen, MaryEllen Ortiz and fiance, Benny, John Cervantes and wife, Veronica, Irene Sena and husband, Blue, Dora LaJeunesse and husband, Guillermo, Anthony Cervantes, Phyllis Blea and husband, Andy; along with many other loving cousins and friends. He was so well known and loved by many. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2005 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Riverside Funeral Home and again at 6:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at Our lady of Guadalupe 3674 Hwy. 47 in Peralta Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 10 a.m. Internment will follow at Our lady of Guadalupe Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Ortiz Jr., Jerry Ortiz III, Isaac Cervantes, Adam Aveles, Sergio Saenz, Joseph Montoya, Leon Gonzales, and Mark Ortiz. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicole, Tiana and Lisa Marie Cervantes, Michelle Montoya, and Romie Aveles.
