Gloria Torres (1931 - 2005) Gloria Torres, 74, a native of Albuquerque, was born June 22, 1931 and died peacefully at her home on July 28, 2005. Gloria was loved and will be missed by her family as well as many friends who were touched by her life. Gloria was well known as a gentle soul with a loving heart. Gloria will be deeply missed and remembered by her husband, Art; five children, Cathy Jourdan of Nevada, Michael Torres, Loretta Nazzarett, Elizabeth Pohl, and Dawna Torres, all of Albuquerque; 13 grandchildren, Sean, Shannan, Scott, Aaron, Brian, Deanna, Daniel Arthur, Jonathan, Stephanie, Amber, Angela, Luke, and Nick; one sister, Lorraine Torres; a sister-at-heart, Armida Quezada; three aunts, Gertrude Garcia, Tomasita Padilla, and Martha Lee; and numerous cousins. Everyone she met, from produce department managers to bank tellers, will remember Gloria's loving smile. Her faith, her family, and her friends were her dearest possessions. A Rosary in honor of Gloria Torres was held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2005 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in NE Albuquerque. Mass of The Resurrection will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2005 at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church followed by burial services at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
