Filiberto "Phil" Herron, age 82, was called home on Wednesday, July 20, 2005. Beloved father, grandfather, and brother, we will miss him immensely. He is survived by his 11 children, Betty Mackall, Benny Herron, Mary Chavez, Robert Herron and wife, Anna, Johnny Herron and wife, Anna, Marvin Herron, Felix Herron (deceased), James Herron and wife, Pefie, Della Herron, Leo Herron, Theresa Fresquez and husband, Charlie; and brother, Diego Gonzales and wife, Senaida. He also has 29 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Phil always knew how to make us smile and will continue to do so as we remember and celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations. A viewing is scheduled to be held at Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. He will then be cremated and laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at 1:00 p.m.
