Jonathan Thomas, 21, of Los Alamos, died July 8, 2005. He was born February 6, 1984, the son of David Charles Tipton and Elaine Marlene Larson. Jonathan was a cross-country runner, it was his passion. He ran cross-country for Los Alamos High School and Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia, California. Jonathan was honored in the 2002 Who's Who in sports. He was currently attending New Mexico State University majoring in engineering. Jonathan had an awesome voice, and loved to sing. Survivors include his Mother, Elaine; and step father, Richard Larson of Los Alamos; half-brother, Ryan Larson; his father, David Tipton; and step-mother, Ruth Tipton of Visalia, CA; his grandparents, Charles and Nelda Tipton, of Albuquerque; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorial services will be conducted Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Los Alamos. A reception will follow immediately after the service at the church.
