Lynn Marie Blessman-Smith, 57, a resident of Los Alamos, NM, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her mother and father. She was a successful and influential teacher for 18 years in New Mexico. Lynn is survived by her husband, Michael Smith of Los Alamos; children, Chris Grimes and wife Nikkol of Denver, CO, Timothy Grimes of Grand Junction, CO, Ryan Smith of California, Dana Smith of California; and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will begin on Monday, July 18, 2005 at 9:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Monday, July 18, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Los Alamos. Burial to follow at the Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the account at Los Alamos National Bank under the Lynn Blessman-Smith Memorial Fund to benefit the Los Alamos School District and various other charities.
