Lucile Adler, of Santa Fe, died peacefully while napping on June 8, 2005. She was born in Kansas City, MO on September 9, 1922 to Millard and Lucile Meinrath Bloch, who both preceded her in death, as did her sisters, Jane Bloch and Mary Drey and Lu's beloved husband, Nat, with whom she had moved to Santa Fe around 1950. John Adler, her son, his wife, MaryMargaret McClure and their son, Nathaniel Adler survive her; also daughter Kathleen and her husband, Larry Harms; as well as cousins, Joan Berkley, Bud Meinrath, John Kander, and their families. Lu Adler will be missed by many friends and people with whom she had worked as an advocate for Peace and Womens' and all people's rights. She leaves us with a wealth of her deeply moving poetry.
