Obituary for GODDARD

Veronica (Ronnie) K. Goddard was born May 2, 1918 of Margaret Lehmann Kish and Stephen P. Kish in Bridgeport, CT. She passed away on June 17, 2005. She is survived by her three sons, Stephen L, Laurence W., and George R. Goddard; and her daughter, Mare Contrare; and her six grandchildren, Andrew, Grant and Kelly Goddard, Claudia and Monica Margolis, and Lori Ford; and her sister, Peggy Lobdell of Martha's Vineyard; and her brother, Stephen Kish of San Francisco. She attended Boston University and graduated from Columbia-Presbyterian School of Nursing in New York City with a BS degree in nursing. During World War II she headed a nursing unit at Bellevue Hospital doing malaria research. She was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority. She served as president of the Auxiliary to the State Medical Society and later as president of the Assistance League of Albuquerque. Ronnie will most of all be remembered for her devotion to her family and friends. She supported and encouraged them in all of their endeavors. Her lifelong love of reading and learning was inspirational to everyone who knew her. A Memorial Service will be help at the Grand Court of Albuquerque at 300 Valencia Dr. SE on Sunday, August 21, 2005 at 1:00 pm. For more information, please contact George Goddard 760- 942 -1973.
