Obituary for HENNING

Vernon O. Henning, a resident of Albuquerque since 1950, died Saturday, July 2, 2005. He is survived by his sons, Vernon O.M. Henning and wife, Lady Anne and William J. Henning and wife, Virginia; daughter, Corinne Henning-Sachs and husband, Marvin; grandchildren, Amarryn Huelsmann and husband, Kevin, Sydney Henning, Kevin Henning, Jonathan Sachs and wife, Pamela, David Sachs, Molly Sachs and Kimberley Bourget and husband, Vaughn; great-grandchildren, Chloe Sachs and Ethan Sachs; sisters, Marjorie Kirk, Liz Wingate, and Miriam Ludwig; brother, Robert Henning; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margherita M. Henning. Vernon was born in Bazine, KS, on November 6, 1917 to the Rev. Otto and Hilda Henning. He was an Army chaplain in WWII and worked for Sandia Labs for 37 years. Margherita and Vernon were married July 26, 1946 in Vienna, Austria. He was a devoted, loving, and humble man of great strength and character. Services will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at 2:00 p.m., at the French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel.
