Kathleen "Kathi" Wingert, 57, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2005 in Topeka, KS. Kathi was born in Waukesha, WI on Thursday, May 27, 1948, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Foley. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a degree in Latin American Studies. She moved to New Mexico in 1971 and was employed in a variety of jobs, the last with the Federal Aviation Administration as the Human Resource Manager at the Albuquerque Air Route Traffic Control Center. She retired in December, 2003 and moved with her husband, David to Grantville, KS. Kathi married David B. Wingert on August 5, 1993. She is survived by her husband; three step-children; three step-grandchildren; two brothers; four sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Kathi was a wonderful lady who was adored by many. She will be dearly missed. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 27, 2005, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Kathi loved flowers and gardening, so in lieu of cut flowers the family requests donations in her memory be made to the Living Flowers at the Rio Grande Botanic Gardens, C/O Friends of the Aquarium and Botanic Gardens, 2601 Central Ave, NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104.
